The continuous evolution in labelling systems, with increasingly speed application, has found a viable solution in the use of silicone-coated plastic film based backing.

Polyester silicone-coated films provide substantial benefits, like higher productivity, less downtime due to web breaking during labelling, greater mechanical resistance during die cutting, and, last but not least, more opportunities for recycling the silicone-coated backing.

Furthermore, simply due to its lower weight as compared to glassine paper liners, the disposal of silicon-coated residue is reduced by 40-50%, which has a positive impact on environmental sustainability.

INNADHEX offers PET30 backing with many of the products in its Wine Destination catalogue. Textured, barrier-coated, water-resistant glossy papers and other face materials are in fact available in combination with polyester liner, allowing for safer conversion and superior performance in the label’s application phase.
